Alison Clarke is a Suffolk based watercolour artist whose work is inspired by landscape, coast, boats and the changing effects of light and weather.

Working both outdoors and in the studio, Alison enjoys the immediacy and unpredictability of watercolour- allowing washes, colour and expressive marks to suggest atmosphere rather than describe every detail. 

Her subjects are often drawn from the Suffolk landscape and coast , alonside places encountered on her travels.

Alison regularly exhibits her work locally and has paintings in private collections.
